Creamer Closes in on the ATV Championship at Red Bud
In the first moto, Creamer used the Suzuki QuadRacer R450′s power to grab a top-three start. Creamer logged consistently fast laps and closed in on the lead, but ran out of time and crossed the finish line in a strong second place. Wimmer, sitting second in the points standings, had a tough, mid-pack start in the first moto. The defending champion quickly pushed forward, finishing the moto with a well-earned fifth.
Creamer grabbed the holeshot in moto two and rocketed into the lead. But as the battle intensified, Creamer opted to play it safe, taking another second-place finish and keeping his points lead strong. Wimmer got a better start than he did in the first moto and managed to improve on his moto one score, as well, crossing the line in fourth.
“The track was really fast so it was tough to pass, especially in the first moto,” Creamer said. “I ended up getting into second place and hung out there because I didn’t want to risk anything so close to the end of the season, especially leading the series. I got the holeshot in the second moto and lead, but then got passed and I didn’t want to push it so I finished in second again. My Suzuki QuadRacer R450 worked awesome, and overall it was a good weekend.”
Creamer finished second overall with 2-2 moto scores, while Wimmer’s 5-4 finishes were enough to give him fourth overall. Creamer holds a 40-point advantage over Wimmer, and with one round remaining, The Rockstar Makita Suzuki team is poised to make it a 1-2 finish on the season.
The final round takes place August 14-15 in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, at the famed Loretta Lynn’s Ranch.
