Given the SID Fork and some of the other very lightweight gear on your bike, it looks like you are either an XC racer or a weight weenie. (Or perhaps, both.)
The Avid brakes are perfectly functional, but you could get ligher. If you like Avids, you might want ot look at the Juicy Carbons. If you are willing to switch, there isn’t much lighter than Magura Marta SL brakes.
